The honest verdict
Extended-stay wins outright on flexibility and zero commitment — for a genuine short bridge, especially with TLE covering part of it, it’s often correct. It loses the moment weeks turn into months: you pay hotel prices for kitchenette living. The play we recommend: book the bridge, and start the real search the same day — so the bridge stays a bridge. One habit worth keeping while you wait on household goods: multiply the nightly rate by thirty and set the result next to a verified rent quote before every week you extend. The math is dull, which is exactly why the lodging bill is usually the one nobody runs it for.
